Bloc comes with a set of features, which help people create unforgettable experiences. We reward people for attending venues & connect people before events.
Checking in
Every single venue in the world is on Bloc, so you can check-in to any social venue at any time. This is the main feature of the app because it then opens you up to being able to do a whole lot more. To check-in to a venue find the ‘+’ icon in the main bottom tab bar inside Bloc.
You can receive 3 BLOCS for checking into a non-advertising venue and 6 BLOCS for attending an advertising venue.
Moments
A Moment can be taken only when you are in the venue that you have checked into on that specific day. We allow you to create a Photo or Video Moment that you can share with your friends and followers.
You can receive 3 BLOCS for uploading a Moment on Bloc.
Bites
Bites are short form videos you can upload to Bloc to share your favourite content with your followers. It’s free if you upload a Bite connected to a venue you have checked into. Otherwise it’s just 10 BLOCS to upload a BITE whenever you like.
BLOCS
BLOCS are our in-app currency.
You can earn BLOCS by completing certain actions inside Bloc, such as checking in & attending venues, uploading a Moment, uploading a Bite and even by inviting friends to Bloc. You can also buy BLOCS by visiting the store inside the app.
BLOCS can be spent on a whole host of rewards from our partner brands. Shop rewards at rewards.getonbloc.com.
Connecting
You can connect with new people if you mutually connect inside the app. A request to connect can either be sent by tapping the ‘+’ or the 
icon next to someones name.
+ is anonymously adding someone. They will be told someone has tried to add them, but they won’t know who. For that person to connect they will need to also add that person or send them a 'Favourite’. is privately favouriting someone. It will cost the sender 1 BLOC & the receiver earns 1 BLOC. The person receiving the favourite will be able to see the person who has sent it and will be able to decide whether they want to connect with that person or not.
Once two people have connected on Bloc they can chat inside the app.
🪩️ Explore
There is a whole ‘Explore’ section of Bloc where you find popular venues, people & events near you. We have a map to find local events, a calendar so you can search for places on a specific and a whole ‘People’ section where you can likeminded individuals attending venues near you.
