They can be earned & bought on Bloc and spent on Bloc Rewards, our rewards marketplace.
They are the currency that run the Bloc ecosystem.
How to earn BLOCS
All the different ways you can earn BLOCS on Bloc
BLOCS can be earned inside the BLOC app and there are various ways of earning them.
Checking in
Earn 3 BLOCS every day by checking in to a venue & physically attending it. You can earn 6 BLOCS if you visit an advertising venue.
When you check-in on Bloc you will create a check-in newsflash on your newsfeed. You will see a button ‘I’M HERE”. When you’re physically in the venue tap this button & we will do a location check. We actually do two checks, one check when you first tap ‘I’M HERE’ & a second one when the 2 minute timer goes down to 0.
If we track you’re in the venue and have been there for at least two minutes, we will give you 3 BLOCS.
Favourited
If another Bloc user favourites you, will you will receive 1 BLOC & they will lose 1 BLOC.
A favourite is the 
icon next to someones name. It’s a way of telling that person you really want to connect with them.
Favouriting someone can increase your chances of connecting, but remember it will cost you 1 BLOC each time.
Creating a Moment
A Moment is a photo or video you can create when you’re in the venue. If we successfully track you to a venue you can tap the ‘+’ and find the Moment feature.
If you successfully create a Moment you will receive 3 BLOCS.
It’s a fun way of sharing what you’re up to with friends.
Uploading a Bite
A Bite on Bloc is a short-form video you can upload to share your life’s best experiences & content.
You can upload a Bite for free if you link it to a venue you’ve recently visited and checked into on Bloc.
When you upload a Bite you will receive 3 BLOCS.
Inviting friends to Bloc
Bloc is better with friends, so give 5 BLOCS to every successful invite.
This is an excellent way of racking up BLOCS really quickly. 10 friends invited to Bloc = 50 BLOCS.
How to purchase BLOCS
There are two ways of buying BLOCS on Bloc.
Bloc Plus
When you subscribe to Bloc Plus you get a whole load of perks and benefits to enhance your Bloc experience.
One of the those perks when you subscribe is that you will get 50 BLOCS every month.
To subscribe to Bloc Plus, visit your profile and find the Bloc Plus button underneath your profile and username.
Buying BLOCS outright
You can simply buy BLOCS outright on Bloc by going to your profile & finding the Bloc Plus button. Scroll down and you will find a section ‘Buy Blocs’.
From here you can simply buy BLOCS.
250 BLOCS = £119.99
100 BLOCS = £89.99
50 BLOCS = £44.99
10 BLOCS = £11.99
How to spend BLOCS
Spending BLOCS is easy. Simply open the Bloc app and find the shopping cart icon in your tab bar. This is the menu at the bottom of Bloc. This will take you to Bloc Rewards.
You will automatically be logged in and your wallet will be linked automatically as well, so your BLOCS will show on Bloc Rewards.
To spend BLOCS simply find the reward you’d like, make sure you have enough BLOCS and purchase the reward.
The BLOCS will be deducted from your wallet and you will receive your reward within 2 weeks.
