On Bloc you can follow other users and view each others check-ins, Moments and Bites. You can comment on each others posts and connect in that way.
However, you won’t be put into a private conversation on Bloc if you’re only following each other. You need to mutually connect on Bloc.
Connecting on Bloc refers to mutually connecting. If you mutually connect you will be put into a conversation.
To mutually connect two users will need to add each other (‘+’) or a user will need to accept another users favourite request.
What’s does ‘adding’ mean?
On the ‘Explore’ page of Bloc you can find other users of Bloc you can connect with. Next to each persons name will be the ‘+’ icon. This means you can add them.
When you add someone, this is anonymous. Which means that person doesn’t know it’s you who has added them. They will be send a notification someone has added them, but they won’t know.
If they add you back (‘+’), then you will mutually connect and be put into a conversation.
What does ‘favouriting’ mean?
Favouriting refers to the ‘’ icon on Bloc. And it’s a way of trying to connect with someone which will be known the user. Aka they will receive a notification of a request on Bloc and they will be able to view your profile and decide whether they want to accept the request or not.
If they accept the request then you will connect and be put into a conversation. If they reject it then you will not connect.
Favouriting someone costs 1 BLOC and they will receive that BLOC. But it increases your chances of connecting with someone by about 3x.
