Navigating Bloc is easy but you need to familariase yourself with what each icon means.
Because there are multiple ways of connecting with people on Bloc you need to understand the differences. Below is a guide with screenshots to assist you:
To connect with someone on Bloc you can try adding them (‘+’). This is anonymous, which means the other person doesn’t know it is you who is trying to connect with them. They will be notified someone has added them (‘+’), but they won’t know who.
If that user then also adds you (‘+’) or sends a favourite () you will connect. Because you have mutually told Bloc you want to connect.
When you tap the icon next to someones name on Bloc, you are favouriting them.
When you do this, a request is sent to the user and they will be able to see that you have favourited them. They will be able to view your profile and decide whether they want to connect with you or not.
If they accept your request, you will connect and you will be put into a private conversation.
Now one thing to bear in mind is that it’s not free on Bloc to send a favourite. It will cost you 1 BLOC to do so. But the fun part? The person you send the favourite to will receive your 1 BLOC.
So being favourited is a fantastic way of racking up your BLOCS on Bloc. So make sure you have a strong profile to increase your chances.
To find your requests from people who have favourited you, go to your Profile and find the little star icon that’s found top right of the screen. This is where you can manage all of your requests on Bloc.
Via your Profile, you can find your requests. Here you will find the list of people who have favourited you. You can accept or reject them here:
To find your new connections and messages with people you have connected with mutually, go to Explore and find the speech bubble icon in the top right of your screen.
This is where you can chat with people.
When you tap the speech above in the screenshot above, you will land on the screen of people you have started chatting with. New connections won’t show here, as you haven’t chatted to them yet.
To find new connections and to start the chat, find the people icon top right of the screen. When you tap this it will show your new connections where a chat hasn’t been started.
You can start the conversation here.
