We have a good mix of perks that can enhance your experience on Bloc. There’s something for everyone and you can tailor which perks you want via our slot mechanism.
Here are all our perks on Bloc Plus explained:
On Bloc there are sections of the app where you can filter the settings.
These include ‘People’, so you can filter to different demographics. ‘Explore’ where you can filter to see types of events e.g. nightclubs and ‘Newsfeed’ where you can filter to view certain types of check-ins.
These filters are locked unless you are a Bloc Plus member.
So with Bloc Plus you can get full access so you can set your preferences.
We have ads in your newsfeed and in the ‘Bites’ section of Bloc.
You can fully remove these ads with Bloc Plus.
As a non Bloc Plus user when you check-in, create a Moment or upload a Bite, you receive 3 BLOCS.
If you’re a Bloc Plus member and you have ‘Increased Earning’ then you will receive 5 BLOCS instead of 3 BLOCS.
The benefit to this is you will earn BLOCS faster so you can earn rewards faster.
We will send you 50 BLOCS every month to spend on Bloc Rewards or to increase your chances of connecting with someone.
The reason BLOCS increase your chances of connecting with someone is because it costs 1 BLOC to favourite someone else on Bloc, to try and connect with them.
Favouriting is when you tap the 
next to someones name. It sends them a request to connect. But it costs you 1 BLOC to do so and they receive the BLOC.
So this perk allows you to spend your BLOCS on Bloc Rewards, or can be spent on favouriting other people.
As a non Bloc Plus user you are limited to only ‘add’ 5 people per day.
With this perk, we remove that limitation and you can add as many people as you like.
Adding someone is an anonymous ‘like’. The person you ‘add’ will be notified someone has tried to add them, but they won’t know who.
If the add you back then you will connect and be put into a conversation on Bloc.
With this perk you will be boosted to the top of events so you’re always seen.
Imagine if 500 people are checked into the same event, that’s quite a lot of people. The more people in an event, the less likely you are to connect with someone.
By boosting yourself to the top you are more like to make connections and to be favourited.
A lot of users love this perk because it increases their chances of receive a favourite (1 BLOC) from other users.
So it’s a good strategy for increasing your BLOCS on Bloc.
Receive a special checkmark on your profile telling people you are a Bloc Plus user.
This tells people you are active and using Bloc, which will increase your chances of making a connection.
If you want your videos to get more views then this perk is for you.
We will prioritise your Bite and it will get more views.
This is a good strategy if you’re a content creator, business or if you just want more people to discover your profile.
We have a special chatbot on Bloc Plus which allows you to ask your own special assistant on the best places to visit.
So you will get access to our AI chatbot to help you find events & venues.
Our chatbot first scans Bloc Nearby to see if one of our foodies or experts have written a blog post on that topic.
For example, if you’re trying to find the best restaurant in Marylebone, the assistant will see if we have written a blog post on that topic and it will tell you what restaurant is #1.
If we haven’t covered that topic yet then we will scan the internet and give you our best possible response to your question.
As a non Bloc Plus member you can’t download a Bite without a watermark.
As a Bloc Plus user you will be able to download a Bite without the watermark.
