There are a few things you can do on Bloc. To get the most out of the app we recommend that you check-in to different venues & events that you’re attending:
1. Check-in to venues
2. Earn BLOCS
3. Spend BLOCS on Bloc Rewards
4. Upload a Moment
5. Upload a Bite
6. Explore what’s on around you
7. View a newsfeed of the check-ins, Moments and Bites from people you’re following
8. Watch Bites from people you’re following
9. Watch Bites from people outside of your network
10. Connect & chat with people
The tab bar
The tab bar is the bottom menu of Bloc. From here you can tap:
a) Home
b) Bites - watch Bites from people outside of your network
c) + - where you can check-in, create a Moment or upload a Bite
d) Bloc Rewards - where you can spend BLOCS
e) Profile - where you can update and view your profile.
Explore
Explore is where you can find where people are checked in, to get an idea of what’s going on around you and where you can connect with other people.
Here are the explanations of what each section represents:
Nearby Events - this brings up a list of all the events that are happening on a certain date. You can manually go through the dates or you can use our calendar to choose a date in the future. It will bring up events you’re friends (people you follow) and suggested places based on our algorithm.
People - this brings up all the people who are within 10 miles of you and visiting a venue in the next 3 days. It’s a great way of connecting with people & to also see what’s on.
Events near you - this brings up a map where you can see where events are and you can even search for a specific area to view the events there. This only shows events in this view that are on today.
People going to events near you - this is a snippet of the people who are going to events near you within the next 3 days.
Today’s top events - this shows all the most checked into venues today. Essentially what the most popular events are that are near you.
Bloc Bites - a snippet of Bites from our users
Explore is for those that are looking for places to go & is a great place to try and connect with new people. Whether that’s a friend, date or work colleague.
Bloc Rewards
Bloc Rewards is where you can spend your BLOCS on amazing experiences, vouchers and physical items.
You can navigate to Bloc Rewards by clicking on the shopping icon in our tab bar.
Use the burger icon top left to navigate all our categories of incredible rewards.
Profile
Your profile is where you can update your profile, manage your BLOCS and subscribe to Bloc Plus. You will also find our Settings in the profile section (top right).
a) To view your profile tap the ‘eye’ icon next to your profile image
b) To subscribe to Bloc Plus or purchase BLOCS tap ‘Bloc Plus’
c) To upload a BLOCS voucher code tap ‘Available BLOCS’
d) To edit your profile tap ‘Edit’
e) To add people to your crew tap ‘Crew’
f) To toggle between your personal account and business account click on your name top left.
